Scrapbooking Goes Upscale
Portland, ME, December 29, 2000. My Photo Garden announced the launch of their web site and product line for those people who want to scrapbook their photos but don't know how to. It actually goes beyond just a photo and a one-sentence description, it tells the story behind it.
Scrapbooking is very popular and it is a $250 million industry. Most people are very busy and not able to scrapbook their images permanently. Almost everyone have their most cherished photos packed in shoeboxes that are hidden in their closet. Often times when they are viewed people will recite their memory about the photo and start to reminisce.
What My Photo Garden (www.myphotogarden.com) has created is a framed heirloom piece for that special photo and story. The company digitally prints the photo and story onto acid free paper. The individual provides the photo and content. It is then matted in a custom frame making it ready to be displayed. It goes steps beyond a scrapbook piece – it actually becomes an heirloom piece ready to be passed down to future generations.
My Photo Garden (www.myphotogarden.com) was founded in September of 2000 by Sonya Messer once she recognized the need to document the story behind the photo. "Realizing most people are busy and don't have hours and hours to spend documenting their life story from their photographs. We have developed an affordable and quality solution to preserving those precious photos", says Sonya Messer.
