Gotta Crop! -- Weekend Scrapbooking Getaways Gaining In Popularity. New Company Planning Franchising Opportunities For Cropping Events. www.gottacrop.com

Lodi, California October 13 2002-- It's no secret that scrapbooking and cropping have become wildly popular in homes, neighborhoods and cities across the nation. To meet those growing needs, a company called Gotta Crop! has carved a niche in arranging fun-filled weekend-long scrapbooking getaways complete with all the amenities. Gotta Crop! representatives take care of all the hassles - event planning, room reservations, most meals, snacks, cropping supplies and even massages.

"Scrapbooking is the hottest hobby around right now and it has become a billion dollar industry," says Gotta Crop! Co-founder Marianne Alvarez. "'Crops' have become the quilting bees of the new millennium, where women get together and work on their photo albums, share new ideas and bond while at the same time preserving their precious family memories."

In addition to arranging hotel and meal accommodations, Gotta Crop! provides each participant with a table with at least 3 feet worth of cropping space to work on scrapbooks. The weekend also includes special services such as unlimited use of a "Dream Center" full of scrapbooking and stamping tools, a laptop computer with printer for computer graphics; die cut machines with lots of dies, classes to teach new techniques, album imprinting, plenty of prizes and even a massage therapist available for those weary scrappers' shoulders.

"Our events are special in that we make sure every one of our guests is having a tremendous getaway, not only getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but having uninterrupted time to work on their scrapbooks at the most incredible locations," says Gotta Crop! co-founder Michelle Gomez of Galt, California. "The only thing our guests need to worry about is what color cardstock they will need to mat their photos."

The hotel, meals, classes, and unlimited use of the tool center is all-inclusive for one package price of about $250. "We started planning local one-day events, but thought we could take it to another level by planning events at resort hotels for a weekend getaway at various locations," says Alvarez. "Needless to say the idea just took off, and we have been selling out our events."
Gotta Crop! executives are even working on franchising the business to scrapbookers looking to plan events in other parts of the world.

Some upcoming events for 2003 are Carmel, Napa, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Coronado to name a few. (For a complete schedule of events go to: www.gottacrop.com/getaways.html )
